EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
This April, I'll lace up my running shoes to run the 2015 Boston Marathon. This race is significant to me in a number of ways. First of all, I will running for an awesome charity, Cradles to Crayons, which ensures that homeless and low-income children have the essential items they need to thrive - at work, home, and at school. Secondly, this will be my first marathon -a feat that I've always wanted to accomplish. The Boston Marathon itself holds a significant place in my heart. I grew up going into watch the race with my family when I was younger- holding out oranges and cheering on the runners. And of course, being part of a group of thousands of resilient runners, that seem to run on courage, hope, and strength, even in the face of the 2013 tragedy at the finish line.
I hope that you will be able to support me in my race for Cradles to Crayons. I am hoping to raise $7,500, but anything you can give - $10, $20, $50, means so much to me!
- $25 helps 1 child
- $50 helps 2 children
- $100 helps 4 children
- $250 helps 10 children
- $500 helps 20 children
100% of the funds I raise will go directly to Cradles to Crayons. More than 305,000 Massachusetts children 12 years old and younger live in low-income or poverty-stricken households. In any given year, more than 100,000 Massachusetts children will experience homelessness. Cradles to Crayons makes sure that all of these children have the resources they need to thrive -whether they be clothing, toys, or school supplies. Thank you so much!
P.S.: If your company has a matching gift program, you can double (or even triple) your impact!
