BENEFITING: STONEHILL COLLEGE INC
Ten years ago, Alison and Tommy established the Ciaran Ryan Donoghue Memorial Scholarship at Stonehill College. On March 30, 2004, Alison went into labor at 24 weeks and delivered a very tiny Ciaran Ryan who was all of 1 lb 14 oz and struggled right from the start. On March 31, 2004, his brief fight ended and they were left with the life lessons he taught them. The true meaning of love was given to them and taken away so quickly but then they were surrounded in it by their family and friends as they endured through this most difficult time.
Stonehill College brought Tommy and Alison together and it was there they chose to establish a scholarship in memory of Ciaran. For the past 10 years, a student from the tri-state area has been awarded this scholarship to assist them in attending Stonehill, a place still very special to Tommy and Alison.
