Help Creating Hope International raise funds for our project partner, the Afghan Institute of Learning (AIL)!
AIL has reached 11 million Afghans, including 6.5 million girls, since it's founding. AIL has been a leader in providing education to Afghan girls. AIL began in 1996 in the refugee camps of Peshawar, Pakistan, eventually expanding to support 80 underground homeschools inside Afghanistan during the time of the Taliban. After the fall of the Taliban, AIL began to open Learning Centers to allow the girls who had missed out on school during the chance to learn and today supports more than 40 of these learning centers. Eventually, AIL also began to support clinics which provide both health care and education to patients.
Each year AIL provides education, healthcare and training to nearly 400,000 Afghans, nearly half of whom are girls. Funds raised as part of the Operation Girl Challenge will be used to support the education, health and training of Afghan girls.
