In the rural area surrounding Hyderabad, there is a lot of need. Poverty is prevalent, Illiteracy is high, there is inadequate healthcare, and sanitation is of large concern. The most disadvantaged people in Indian society are women. It is in this dismal situation and to these women that we will be able to offer hope. That hope comes through you and through me, working together to provide jobs for the women who live here.
Three years ago the Lord guided me to start a company specializing in handcrafted jewelry. Since the beginning I have had one goal: to use the passions and talents God has given me to bring glory to Him. Never would I have ever guessed that would lead me to go to India, yet I'm thrilled that it has!
On June 12th, 2015, I will be flying to Hyderabad, India to teach women there how to handcraft the jewelry designs for the company.
This project will grant these women, the opportunity to hear the gospel, practice speaking English, learn a skill set, and the ability to earn a higher than average wage so they will be able to support themselves and their families.
In order for this to happen, the women need tools, such as a hammer, drill, dremel, pliers etc. and supplies like chain, beads, and wire.
This fundraiser is also to cover the expense of traveling to India to teach the women how to make the jewelry.
I invite you to join me in this endeavor to live our lives for more than ourselves and to donate to make a difference in the lives of these impoverished women in India.
