THE STORY:

GOOD KARMA: THIS SEASON’S MUST-HAVE ITEM
Fifty bucks.

Does that sound like a lot of money to you? Depends on what you’re spending it on, probably. Fifty bucks on dinner with friends? A pair of new kicks? An essential, can’t-live-without-it, addition to your killer vinyl collection? Most would drop that in a heartbeat, like it’s nothing. And ultimately, that’s all it is. Nothing.

Instead of spending fifty bucks on nothing this holiday season, why not splurge on a little good karma for yourself this year? Fifty bucks would allow a Tanzanian orphanage afford to clothe its children. It would aid the preservation of organic farmland in Washington. It would help provide electricity for a village in Gambia. It would enable a small Portland non-profit to fight hunger.

Throwing fifty bucks CreativeCares’ way helps us tell the stories that change lives. Visit http://www.crowdrise.com/creativecaresholidayappeal/fundraiser/creativecares and click on the “DONATE” button if you’re interested in doing the right thing.

C’mon. Philanthropy looks so good on you.

WHAT WE’RE GOING TO DO WITH YOUR MONEY
CreativeCares links the marketing and storytelling needs of resource-strapped non-profits with philanthropically minded creative professionals who want to donate their skills. We are headquartered in Portland, but thanks to the digital age, our projects and partnerships are not limited by geography. We are only bound by what is financially possible, and so our goal is to raise funds to be able to take on more partnerships and change more lives.

We’re forming new connections every day, with organizations from our region and across the globe. Some of our regional partners include Impact Northwest, Chess for Success, Open Meadows School, PCC Farmland Trust and Urban Gleaners. On the international level, we are developing long-term collaborations with with the Mehayo Centre for Disabled Youth in Tanzania, Power Up Gambia and SHARE Africa in Kenya.
