On January 12, 2014 I made the decision to start running, not for a new years resolution, but for myself. That night we put the kids to bed and I went out on my first run, and to my amazement, I ran 2 miles. In March still running 3-4 times per week with my dog Lady, I decided to do a 5k sometime in May. Since then I have been running, working my way up to 5k, and looking for a race to sign up for in May. Nothing jumped out at me until I remembered that Pat's Run is at the end of April. Here I am, signed up along with thousands of other participants to run not a 5k, but 4.2 miles on April 26; and for a great cause! This is the 10th Anniversary of Pat's Run, and participants have been challenged to raise $100 to support a Tillman Military Scholar who is carrying forward Pat's legacy. If you cannot donate monetarily, I challenge you to participate in Pat's run, or any other cause that you feel strongly about, by running, walking, or supporting another participant! Thanks you in advance for your support!
