Cristo Rey High School provides private, college-prep education to students from the Sacramento region. They educate students with limited financial means, only accepting those families that are at or below the federal poverty level. Five classes have been graduated from CRHSS and 95% of the graduates (253 students) have been accepted to college. This private college-prep education is made accessible to students through CRHSS Work Study, Inc. to offset the cost of students' education. Currently over 100 corporations, businesses and non-profit organizations sponsor CRHSS students allowing students to offset 60% of the cost of their educations.
Cristo Rey Sacramento, rooted in the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy and the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) transforms lives by providing a Catholic, college preparatory education and professional work experience to high school students with limited financial resources.
Cristo Rey Sacramento’s vision is to create the most effective and highly regarded high school that transforms underserved students into faith-filled, educated, professional and service-oriented people.
