BENEFITING: SAN FRANCISCO SPCA HOSPITAL
Every year the San Francisco SPCA serves thousands of clients in its state-of-the-art veterinary hospital. Last year alone, nearly 15,000 animals were served. In fiscal year 2010/11, the SF SPCA donated $1.86 million in charitable veterinary care for both owned and homeless animals. $790,000 of that was devoted to extraordinary care for SF SPCA shelter animals. Funds raised will help provide critical care for shelter animals with urgent medical needs, such as emergency surgery or treatment for highly contagious diseases, before they can be available for adoption.
