Help support the mother / daughter dream team as we drive cross country to work on the Wonder Women Tech conference which will highlight, celebrate and educate women and diversity in tech, innovation and STEAM.

On Thursday, May 5th, my 69 year old senior citizen and myself will embark on a lifelong memorable journey to drive cross country to work on the largest women in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) conference in Long Beach, California.

Our first conference was held at the historic airplane hangar where the Spruce Goose was built in Los Angeles, which drew 1,000 people in Feb/March 2015.

Check out the highlight reel:

In an unprecedented partnership, The City of Long Beach, California and the Bloomberg Innovation Team have committed to sponsoring the Wonder Women Tech Conference for the next three years!

We are excited to have the Long Beach Convention Center, where the TED conference was held three years before it expanded and moved to Canada! Our upcoming conference will be held July 15th - 17th, 2016 and our conference theme is: #WeArePioneers!

We will explore the ‘next frontier’ of tech and highlight pioneering and diverse women (and men) who are paving the way for technology and innovation across science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

We have three stages for keynotes, speakers, pitching and demos!

Highlights Include:

  • Career Fair and Expo (300 Booths Avail!)
  • Breakout Sessions and Workshops (Sponsored and Speaker hosted)
  • Free Coding and STEAM classes for seniors, deaf and disabled, and underserved adults and children
  • Networking Lounge for attendees to mix and mingle between sessions
  • And much more!

For anyone who knows me... I work hard, have passion and always want to give back. I'm currently the Director of Public Relations & Social Media for Wonder Women Tech.

For the last 3 years, I had been living in Honolulu, Hawaii after I sold everything and moved to Oahu to begin a career as a freelance Tech Publicist and Social Media Strategist. There I experienced so many magical things from diving with sharks, to surfing with sea turtles to even meeting the Wonder Women Tech team and working on the first conference. I feel truly blessed and know that I have made my life that way through hard work.

In November of 2015, I returned to the NYC/NJ area to be with family for the holidays after we experienced a few close losses in the family and now it's time to roll!

For this conference and road trip, I have recruited my senior mother to join for the adventure who is divorced after a 30 year marriage and my true hero for persevering. During our last conference, she was able to get one of the founders of Twitter to actually Retweet her to over 3 million followers! After that, she was invited to join the Wonder Women Tech team as "Mamma Twitter."

We will be embarking on our journey in 2 weeks with our 2 large dogs, a labradoodle and sheepdog. In effort to keep both dogs safe and less stressed, we have decided to drive instead.

Any contributions you could assist with would be greatly appreciated and will go towards things like: new tires for the car, full inspection before driving cross country along with any repairs needed, lodging & gas for cross country trip and any emergencies that come up during the drive.

We have been getting an IMMENSE amount of attention from around the world and for this conference already are partnering with: Google, AOL, #BUILTBYGIRLS, TechCrunch and many more!!

I am SO proud of what we are building and knowing we TRULY are going to make a difference in "WOMEN AND DIVERSITY in TECHNOLOGY AND STEAM"
