BENEFITING: HC COMMITMENT INC
EVENT DATE: Jul 12, 2014
The transition from active-duty military back to the civilian world is full of challenges. My experience suggests those challenges are magnified for those that come from a less technical and more stereotypical military background - specifically, the Marine Corps "combat arms" community. Challenges include: employment, maintaining an equal sense of purpose, etc. Honor, Courage, Commitment Inc (HCC) is a non-profit that quite simply "gets it" in that regard.
HCC's mission is to recruit, educate, mentor, and guide transitioning military veterans into becoming socially responsible entrepreneurs and community leaders. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to HCC in an effort to assist them in their continued support for veterans.
Participants will Burpee/Broad-Jump around a 400m track. For those who complete four full laps they walk away with the pride of having completed a full mile of Burpee/Broad-Jumps and contributed significantly to a worthwhile cause.
Donation minimums are $20 for the first lap, then $5 for each additional lap. There is a one-lap minimum donation required to participate.
Location - Track & Field facility at Bowie High School, Arlington TX. 2101 Highbank Dr. Arlington, TX 76018.
DROP-IN ANYTIME FROM 5:00 A.M. THROUGH NOON - no time requirement to arrive or finish as long as you begin/finish in that window.
After the initial event on 12 Jul the event will remain continuous. Do 400m anywhere/anytime and make your pledge online!
