This year Crowe Horwath – New York City has decided to work with High Water Women’s Backpack Drive. The HWW Backpack Drive helps some of the neediest children in the NY/NJ/CT area start school ‘ready to learn’ with new backpacks and school supplies. It is a vote of confidence in these children and relief to their families who are otherwise unable to afford these supplies. Last year, they were able to provide fully-supplied backpacks to over 22,000 children. The backpacks are filled with grad-appropriate supplies including: notebooks, folders, loose leaf paper, markers, pens, pencils, pencil cases, protractors, calculators, graph paper, staplers, dictionaries, scissors, erasers, crayons, rulers, early readers… and much more! To learn more about how the HWW Backpack Drive has helped children, I encourage you to watch this video!! This year, their goal is to provide 25,000 local children in need with filled backpacks to start school in September - to do this they must raise $500,000 by the end of July. I would appreciate your support and help in reaching that goal through a donation. Each $25 donation funds a fully-supplied backpack for a local child in need: · Backpacks for 40 Children = $1,000 · Backpacks for 20 Children = $500 · Backpacks for 10 Children = $250 · Backpacks for 4 Children = $100 · Backpacks for 2 Children = $50 Any donation, large or small, is greatly appreciated! Furthermore, if you would like to participate in assembling backpacks on July 28, please let me know your t-shirt size as soon as possible, that way I can add you to the list. Thank you so much for your support!
