BENEFITING: MYTEAM TRIUMPH
Ainsley's Angels is thrilled to help ensure Carol can soon roll with the wind in her very own custom bike! With your generosity, we are certain this can happen soon. As the father of two very special girls that race together with me, I know that the positive energy surrounding the start line as we prepare to be included and "roll with the wind" is a therapy like no other.
Here is a note from Carol's husband:
My wife, Carol A. Sapcoe, became disabled through Fibromyalgia, CFSID, asthma, osteo-arthritis and hypothyroid, which developed during the nineties; she started collecting SSDI in early 2000. Due to the high medical costs, along with some unexpected house and car repairs, compounded by unsrupulous lenders, we were forced into having to go through a chapter 7 bankruptcy. We have not been able to get normal credit or regain our financial footing in the 7 years since this happened; basically living from paycheck to paycheck. At the beginning of this year we started to get involved with the handicap / charity racing world which has been very fulfilling for Carol; she would love to have a certain Invacare TopEnd Excelerator stock handcycle which she tried out at a mobility expo. See attached photo of her with the handcycle. It would be such a health benefit, both physically and psychologically, for her to use this handcycle in certain races where allowed; but it would be extremely difficult for us to pay for this on our own. So we are attempting to raise the funds with Ainsleys Angels, to race with our Team Hoyt of New England family. We very much appreciate everyone's help in this. Chuck Sapcoe, Warwick, RI.
