Crystal's Nail Journey
Organized by: Crystal Coleman
After many lifestyle changes and choices that could have been made. I've decided to pursue a career in the nail industry. As a child growing up I was abused and carried the abuse over into my adulthood. I've been raped, beat, and misused most of my life. At the age of 19 I decided to join the Army and fight for my country. I'm now a disabled Veteran. As soon as I left the Army I went to school and received my Associates in Paralegal, with the hopes of helping to change lives of others one case at a time. I've always tried to find ways to please other people and in return I gain satisfaction knowing that I've been able to put a smile in someone else's heart. This past November I decided that I wanted to be able to give back to people and I had no idea what I was going to do. After a few days of looking at YouTube videos online, I went and took tours of the local beauty schools. And immediately signed up for the nail program. I've always wanted to do something with my hands and this seemed like the perfect idea. I made it very clear that I had no clue what I was doing, and even needed to know the basics of just how to polish. I've been taught so much in so little time. I've created a safe place where women and men can feel comfortable and they are able to open their hearts while receiving nail services from me. The nail industry has changed my life and I would love to complete school and be able to change other people's lives. This money will go directly to the school I'm attending and I'll be able to get my license and next open my own shop. I'll be able to employ others and allow them a chance to do something positive also. Thank you in advance for any donation, I truly do appreciate everything I can receive.
