BENEFITING: UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States. Each year, 13,000+ parents will hear the words “your child has cancer,” and 1 out of 5 of these children will not survive.
Fortunately, researchers at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital are making transformative breakthroughs and opening doors to novel, personalized treatment options. They’re providing hope for children who’ve run out of options and serving as a compass for families desperately in need of new paths for treatment.
September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. You can help us Block Out Cancer as we compete against the University of Wisconsin American Family Children’s Hospital to raise donations for life changing pediatric cancer research. The team with the most donations by October 1 wins!
Only 3 percent of federal funding for cancer research is directed at solving cancers that impact our children; therefore, every dollar raised during the Block Out Cancer campaign will have a tremendous impact.
These funds will support children and families touched by cancer by helping to expand Mott’s personalized approach to care, accelerate the development of new lifesaving treatments, and enhance survivorship.
We are fighting for the future every child deserves.
Join us. Every person plays an important role in the fight to Block Out Cancer.
