The Children's Scholarship Fund aims to maximize educational opportunity for all children: for those in need by offering tuition assistance in grades K-8 for alternatives to faltering conventional schools, and for all children by supporting and cultivating education reform and parental choice efforts.
Founded in 1998, Children’s Scholarship Fund (CSF) provides scholarships to low-income families so their children can attend the K-8 schools that best match their needs, regardless of where they live. Key to our success is strong family involvement, which is rooted in the financial contribution required of all families. Specifically, all families are required to pay a minimum of 25 percent of their tuition each year, ensuring they are fully invested and empowered in their children’s education. This school year, CSF is funding scholarships for more than 25,700 low-income children across the country, including more than 8,000 in New York City.
