Hello, my name is Kelle Moore. My children have been students of CS Institute of Martial Arts karate studio in historic Fairburn, Georgia since 2010. Over the past four years, I have noticed a remarkable change in my kids. My thirteen year old son has ADHD and my eight year old daughter is your typical, hyperactive little girl. The karate instruction has aided my son in focusing more in school. His grades have never been better. CS Institute has also helped him to understand the pros and cons of the choices he makes and how to make better ones. My daughter, although young, is becoming capable in her own right and very confident in all of her abilities. I owe all of this to CS Institute of Martial Arts.

CS Institute of Martial Arts is now at a crossroads. Our studio is located in a building that is in need of various repairs and we are not financially prepared to handle. Therefore, we only have two choices: leave our students in an unstable building or purchase our own. So, as a group, the parents have decided to raise money. Subsequently, we can have our own building where our students can continue to grow and develop in a secure place.

In order for this vision to come true, we are asking for $250,000 to acquire a building and transform it into a karate studio one can definitely be proud of. In doing this, we will be building a place where our students can continue (or begin) their martial arts journey. We will also be creating a healthy environment that provides kids with structured activities that will assist them in developing self-awareness, discipline, self-esteem, focus, respect, goal setting and perseverance. By setting such high expectations and standards, the students will not be tempted into making negative decisions. They will learn valuable skills and techniques to deal with bullying; which is a major concern in today’s society. While CS Institute of Martial Arts focuses on our children, we have adult students as well. Some of our students are families who are learning karate together! Other benefits include exposing our students to various cultures. Additionally, our program acts as a stepping stone for those interested in competing in martial arts at the Olympics!

With your help, together, we can help change our student’s lives.
