BENEFITING: Cure JM Foundation
Shari and Tom Hume
Join the fight for a cure for Juvenile Myositis. Juvenile Myositis is a life-threatening disease that causes a child's own immune system to attack healthy tissue and cells, which can cause pain, weakness, inability to walk, disfigurement, organ failure and even lead to death. Juvenile Myositis can affect virtually any system of the body, the heart, lungs, skin, muscles, and more. And there is no cure…YET. This is the Hume family fundraising effort for the second half of 2016 and early 2017; all leading up to our annual Cure JM Foundation Conference for families in Austin, TX - February 17-19, 2017. We hope to hit our fundraising goal by leveraging our participation in the Cure JM Walk-a-thon in Austin, CrowdRise contests and the annual L.A. Holiday Party. By at the end of January, 2017 physicians and researchers from across North America will be submitting their proposals to Cure JM to fund new Juvenile Myositis research. Your support will make this new research possible. Together, we can fund life-changing research.
