On May 7th, we will walk to raise money for research to find a cure for Juvenile Myositis (JM), an auto-immune condition which causes the body to attack healthy cells.
Claire was diagnosed with juvenile dermatomyositis when she was 16. She is doing well now, thanks to treatment by the doctors at Lurie Children's Hospital and JM research done to date. Continuing that research to find better treatments with fewer side effects and ultimately to find a cure for JM is so important!
Juvenile myositis is rare. Two to four children (under 18) in a million are diagnosed each year, experiencing weak muscles, pain, skin rashes and other complications.
Please help us raise money to find a cure for this life-changing disease!
