BENEFITING: Cure JM Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 18, 2013
The Cure JM Foundation has a chance to win $100,000 if we win the most donations out of 467 charities between November 18th and January 9th.
The Cure JM Foundation has worked tirelessly to find a cure for Juvenile Myositis (JM), a painful and potentially deadly autoimmune disease that strikes children of all ages. A volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Cure JM Foundation dedicates over 95% of the donations it receives directly towards education and research efforts aimed at managing and ultimately finding a cure for JM.
My daughter Cameron is a radiant 5 year old that loves to dance and sing. She loves school and most recently has fallen in love with reading books on her own. Cameron began showing signs and symptoms of Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM) in May 2012 but wasn't diagnosed until December 2012.
Cameron takes a host of medications that have made her once cumbersome daily routines more simple. Everyday tasks like getting out of bed, walking, getting dressed and getting in and out of the car are now achievable with medication.
This disease can affect virtually ALL systems of the body and sunlight or the common cold can worsen the disease.
We don't want any child to suffer like Cameron. Please help us find a cure.
