BENEFITING: Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Oct 06, 2013
Type I Diabetes is a potentially life-threatening disease in which the pancreas does not produce enough insulin to properly process sugars in the blood. Diabetes, both Type I and Type II, affects roughly 25.8 million people in the United States. The condition can be managed effectively through daily insulin therapy, but this requires a lifetime of careful monitoring and management with potentially serious consequences if a person does not care for themself properly. Currently, the Diabetes Research Institute is conducting research in order to provide a permanent cure for people suffering from Type I diabetes, so that they can live their lives to the fullest.
On October 6th, I will be running the Blue Sky Marathon in Fort Collins, CO to raise money for this cause. Your donations will go directly towards research focused on finding a cure for diabetes as soon as possible.
Thank you for doing your part to help me to raise money for this valuable cause.
