I have run marathons the past few years and raised money for cancer research. Two years ago the effort became even more personal as I started my fundraising in hope of helping my daughter's BFF Emily Beazley, a 10 year old determined little fighter that is facing Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. By the time I run this marathon in October she will be able to count herself a survivor as she will have completed 30 months of chemotherapy. She is not alone in her fight. We as a community learn all the time of another child receiving that horrible diagnosis. We need to dedicate more time and more money to finding a cure or at least great treatments for these kids. These treatments need to kill the cancer while not damaging the growing the child. Join me in my efforts to help Emily never face this again. Join me in my efforts to help a little boy in the neighborhood who just started his battle. Join me in my efforts to help every kid that ever hears the word cancer have a chance.
