We came to Mary Cariola 3 years ago after our family moved from Pinellas County Florida. We heard great things about the agency, but we were very skeptical if this was actually the right school for out little boy. Kaleb was born with Human Parvo, which effected most of his major organs. His prognosis is mild retardation and autism. Although the doctors told us that he would not make it to be a year old, we have beat the odds, as Kaleb will be thirteen in January. Since starting school in April of 2012, our little man has started talking (I remember the first time he asked for something, my husband and I just looked at each other as kaleb was not only signing what he wanted, but speaking it as well ). It was one of the happiest days of our lives, and we owe that and many more accomplishments that Kaleb has made to Mary Cariola Children's Center and there wonder staff.
