As you may know, I have been a strong supporter of different Cancer Organizations over the years and I am proud to say I am also supporting the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation. What you may not know is why I am so passionate about this cause. I’m very passionate about this cause because a very close friend of mine was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I hadn’t known anyone who was really close to me who had cancer, so this was all new territory for me. What astounded me was the outpouring of support from our close friends and even surrounding community. It showed me how much compassion people offer those in need…sometimes, almost complete strangers. Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation really rallied around my friend and their care of him was simply amazing. He’s alive today, I believe, because of the care he had and all the support of family and friends.
On October 2-4, I am competing in a new golf competition called the Capital Cup, which will raise much needed funds to help the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation further their mission and help those most in need. In addition, if our team wins, they will also get a share of a $50,000 grand prize!
Please consider making a contribution (of any comfortable amount) to my efforts by making a donation to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation through my fundraising page. Your contribution will not only be an important contribution to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation, but it will also help me win that share of the $50,000 prize for them – because for every $2,500 I raise, I earn a “Mulligan”. And – for those of you who have seen me play – you know Mulligans can go a long way for me!
Thanks very much for your support – it is wildly appreciated; both by me and by the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation.
P.S. All contributors will receive a free ticket to come and watch the final day’s competition (you can walk alongside the players, who will all have caddies, official scorekeepers, etc.) on October 4th at Granite Bay Golf Club and to participate in the VIP reception and awards presentation following play. It would be great to have you come out to support all of the golfers and charities if you have time on that day; it will be a great afternoon!
