My mom has leukemia. I have long, luscious hair. Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center scientists have found a way to put leukemia patients in remission using T-cells, but are still years away from making this ready for the market. Instead of donating my hair to one of the hair charities (who discard about 80% of the hair donated to them!!! How wasteful?!) - I will cut my hair and sell it on the open market (free markets FTW!). I used a calculator on one of the hair selling platforms and my hair's projected market value is $98 = enough for 3-4 haircuts. The proceeds of the sale will pay for my haircut and I will pay for anyone else's haircut who wants to join me in this mission (until I run out of money from the sale of my hair). 97% of the donations to this site will go to Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center. All other sites would give 92-95%, so crowdrise is the best option. Please donate whatever you can, even if it's $1. Eating 1 less thing on the dollar menu at Taco Bell this week can help eradicate cancer! I really appreciate your support and the support of GrowthMonsters, who are helping me with this cause. Together we can find a cure for cancer and keep our loved ones with us longer.
