Craig T. Williams, COO at Tufts Medical Center, Nate Hartwell, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist at Floating Hospital for Children, Chris Jolliffe, pediatric social worker and three fathers of Floating Hospital patients who are currently undergoing cancer treatment, will all join Shawn Thornton and his Boston Bruins teammates in shaving their heads at “Cuts for a Cause” on Wednesday, March 26 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.
This is the first year that Medical Center employees and families have participated in the head shaving. Unlike the player auctions, where Bruins fans bid on the opportunity to shave the head of their favorite player, the five are collecting donations in support of the Child Life Services program in Floating Hospital’s Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit in exchange for agreeing to shave their heads.
