BENEFITING: PANCREATIC CANCER ACTION NETWORK INC
EVENT DATE: Sep 23, 2012
Growing up, my father was one of my hero's and best buds in life. He was a coach, a friend, and a heck of a dad. In sports, he would attempt to spur on excellence by pointing out where I could improve and often citing the phrase "that doesn't cut the mustard" when I missed the mark. Although I never quite understood what that meant, since you spread mustard and don't cut it, it certainly insinuated that I needed to strive to be better.
In February of 2006 my father passed away after a 9 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. This fundraiser is my way to "Cut the mustard" and in some small way honor my father by raising some money to help combat Pancreatic Cancer by supporting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN).
So, in September I will be racing Ironman Branson, a half Ironman event. All I ask is that you help support me by supporting this cause and hopefully together we can say "I cut the mustard" for the betterment of those battling cancer and the families that support them along the way.
