BENEFITING: Humane Society of Weld County
EVENT DATE: May 05, 2013
Do you wanna help animals living in a shelter? Do you wanna help kids who are so sick they can't grow their own hair? What's that, you say? You wanna do BOTH those things? And you wanna do it in your jammies from the comfort of your own couch? Well, my friend, you're in the right place...
Here's how it works:
I have 20 inches of painstakingly maintained, luscious red hair. For every $50 donated, I will donate one inch of my hair to Wigs For Kids. Did I mention I have 20 inches available? Well, I do. And I'm willing to give it up to help a kid feel better about him/herself by sending my home-grown locks to this charity. They will hand tie my hair into a wig custom fitted for the child. The kiddo can wear it during sports, style it, and even swim with it on! It's a guarantee my hair won't be rejected because it's flawless. Sometimes this happens to people, but trust me, I've done my research and I'm really psyched to help them.
The proceeds of this fundraiser will go directly to The Humane Society of Weld County. It rains puppies and kittens during this time of year, and they are in desperate need of resources to care for all of them. I have a soft spot in my tiny heart for everything from Affenpinschers to Yorkshire Terriers; Abyssinians to Turkish Vans; Albino Rats to Turtles; and everything in between! I can't adopt all of them, so I'm doing the next best thing. (And when you donate, so are you!)
The Nitty Gritty: I need your help! I grew my hair on my own, but I can't cut it without your contributions! My monetary goal is to raise $1000 for the animals. My in-kind goal is to donate 20 inches of highly-coveted red hair to a charity that helps kids feel normal.
EVERY DONATION COUNTS! Help me reach and exceed my goal! Chip in and help me do some Cuttin' for the Kids-n-Critters!
**If you help me raise $2000 for the Humane Society of Weld County by May 5th, I will dye the tips of my hair Colorado Rapids Burgundy or Colorado Flag Blue after the cut!**
