People with intellectual disabilities hold a wide variety of jobs –from filing to prepping surgical suites, bagging groceries, or being an administrative assistant. While this may be surprising to some, when you stop and consider that we all look for jobs that use our skills and abilities, it makes sense. America has never been short on ingenuity when it comes to technology and we cannot afford a shortage of ingenuity when it comes to utilizing the talents and gifts of people with disabilities. The Cumberland Valley Arc is creating a program to bridge the gap and bring opportunities for people with disabilities to become productive citizens in an inclusive community. Help us do this one person at a time.
