Family, Friends, and Colleagues,
I'm running the 2013 Marine Corps Marathon and using that gruelling event to raise money for an excellent cause--the Sergeant Thomas Joseph Sullivan Center.
"The Sergeant Sullivan Center, named for a Marine who fell to post-deployment illness, strives to improve health after deployment through Awareness, Research, and Connection. The SSC is dedicated to improving health outcomes for current and former military personnel, especially those who are suffering from emerging, complicated, or currently unexplained post deployment health concerns."
We've made great strides in providing care to our vets, but believe me, we've not arrived. Please consider donating to this important cause as I hammer out 26.2 for my brothers and sisters in arms, and especially those who've laid down their arms, but continue to battle the effects.
My "bill to pay" for this fundraiser is $400. My goal is $1,000. I'd be happy as a hog in slop if I can double that, so please give generously.
