On June 1st I am setting out on the journey of a lifetime with a buddy of mine from high school, Connor Matheson, as we cycle from San Francisco to the East Coast on our bicycles while carrying all of our gear including our tents, food, clothing, emergency supplies, medical gear, as well as other equipment.
A very tragic event happened this year at the Boston Marathon and everyone was truly impacted by this horrific event. But being a runner myself, I felt a massive pit in my stomach after this happened since it was my fellow runners and spectators who had been hurt. That is why I am asking for your support in donating to me as I cycle across the United States with all the money(minus the credit card transaction fee) being donated to the Boston One Fund to help all the victims and their families of this horrific incident.
Who am I?
My name is David Engle and I am a student at the University of Maryland, College Park. I have spent many years in the outdoors; camping, hiking, and climbing in Colorado, Oregon, California, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and New York. In addition to my passion for the outdoors, my life-long passion has been for running and I have run numerous road and trail races across the United States with friends and family.
Where does the money go?
All the money(minus the credit card transaction fee) being donated to the Boston One Fund to help all the victims and their families of this horrific incident.
