Location: Canyonlands National Park, Utah
Participants: 15 bikers
Duration: 100 miles
We're biking the White Rim Road, a.k.a. "the Island in the Sky," to raise funds for impoverished children in Mexico! As we will begin our bike ride on Cinco de Mayo, we hope to raise our fundraiser goal of $3,000 by May 1st. All 15 bikers will be provided for by one caravan carrying much needed supplies (i.e. water, food, camping materials, etc.). We look forward to an awesome bike ride this year, and raising some funds for children that need it the most!

All funds will go to Children International (CI), a nonprofit organization. For more than 75 years, CI has been providing critical assistance to children and families struggling in terrible poverty. Their centrally located community centers, from which dedicated in-country staffs operate, provide resources, programs and services that reduce the burden of poverty on impoverished children and youth, invest in their potential and provide them with opportunities to grow up healthy, educated and prepared to succeed and contribute to society.
Each year, Children International helps more than 340,000 children and youth through 17 agencies in 11 countries around the world.

"... from the lush Gulf coastline to the stark splendor of the Sierra Madre, Mexico possesses both unrivaled natural beauty and a rich cultural heritage. But it also faces serious challenges, like the economic turmoil and drug violence that currently plague the nation. ... the standard of living for its poorest citizens has changed little in the past century... That makes Mexico a place where Children International can make a profound difference."
