Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2016 Boston Marathon CYCLE Kids Team! Please help me in raising money for a great cause, and your donations will be matched by my employer, Google!
Working at a desk since I graduated from school, having poor nutrition habits, and not always being the most active has made staying healthy a lifelong challenge for me. I’ve been obese or overweight for most of my life, but decided after the birth of our daughter that I wanted to stay active and fit, and couldn’t think of a bigger goal than running a marathon. Being larger, running was always hard, but during this year I managed to lose 70 lbs, and successfully ran the Portland Marathon. With the support of the CYCLE Kids Team, I’m trying to set a great example to show my kids (Cooper and Ziggy) what is possible through healthy active choices, and by crossing a bucket-list item off in running the Boston Marathon. How better to do that than to raise money to help other kids learn how to lead active and healthy lifestyles?
The mission of CYCLE Kids is to strengthen the emotional and physical health of kids by inspiring them to lead active and nutritious lifestyles, using the fun and practical skill of riding a bike. CYCLE Kids gives schools a well-researched and successful program that impacts thousands of children each year; helping them improve success in their academic studies, social development, and self confidence, all while tackling the overweight and obese conditions children are facing by learning how to live healthy lifestyles.
Please help me, our team, and the kids by donating support, celebrating physically active lifestyles, and giving kids an opportunity for a healthier, more successful future!
Thank you very much for your help,
Jeremy, Cory, Cooper, Ziggy, and CYCLE Kids!
