Widows & Orphan Relief
Organized by: Ana Silva
My dear friend has a ministry in Visakhapatnam, India. This ministry is to help widows and orphans of parents who died or are suffering from Aids. My friend has informed me with grief that her church rooftop was lifted up due to the passing cyclone in her village area on October 18, 2014. The cyclone also destroyed the church walls. Within the church area, my friend feeds over 30 widows and 10 orphans. During the day not only do the widows eat but they also have a place to rest. They are provided with blankets, clothes and cots to sleep on. The children attend school there and also have a warm place to sleep. The cyclone destroyed all their clothes, school supplies, blankets and cots. I am currently one of the only people who sends her a monthly support and right now I don't have all the funds to cover the losses. I am just asking for enough funds to replace the roof, purchase some blankets, cots and clothing. My friend told me it would cost around 3 laks to do so. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and God bless!
