March 17, 2014
EVENT DATE: May 04, 2014
Hey there, and Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the 2014 Pittsburgh Marathon!
For those of you who want to read no further, here the key stats:
- Who: Kevin Cullen
- What: 26.2 miles and a goal of raising $100.00 per mile. Each mile another opportunity for you to laugh when I fall down or stub my toe.
- When: May 4th, 2014
- Where: Pittsburgh, PA
- Why: Because I care a great deal about finding a cure for CF and because the research in the field in recent years has given new reasons to be hopeful for that cure.
TO DONATE, all you have to do is click the bright yellow box on the right side of the screen and follow the instructions from there. When asked the number of US Dollars you would like to give, simply enter $1,000,000.00 (or whatever you are able to donate). Any and all amounts will be appreciated.
On this page I will update everyone on the status of my training - starting with a training race (a half marathon) I will be running on March 2 in NJ, and continuing though the last 10 weeks of my training. Be on the lookout for embarrassing photos, and potentially some running selfies (something I only allow in the name of fundraising).
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your consideration and I hope that together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found.
Ran my halfway there half marathon today while the snow started to fall in a time of 1:38:24. Overall a great day for a run, but not sure what the runners in tank tops were thinking...As promised, I uploaded another photo from after the race.
About the Foundation:
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. We fund more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
We are a nonprofit donor-supported organization dedicated to attacking cystic fibrosis from every angle. Our focus is to support the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure.
