...He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul...Psalm 23:2-3. Hello everyone, I am Michele, one of the women in the DeLeon Ohana (Family) that have been diagnosed with breast cancer, alongside two of my mother's sisters, Tita (aunt) Malou and Tita Baday, and their mother Leonila. I am the youngest and most recent to be diagnosed at age 36 in late October 2016. In honor of the women in our family that have fought breast cancer and those that have and continue to support each of us, our team is fundraising to reach the goal of $1000. This goal will provide 8 mammograms, and since 1 out of 8 women is diagnosed with breast cancer, together we will help at least one woman detect breast cancer early. This event also helps raise awareness of screening and the importance of early detection. For younger women, like myself, having your primary care provider and self evaluations are also important. Join our ohana to help more women detect cancer early and promote breast health.
