In 2013 and 2014, running the marathon blindfolded was an amazing experience for me as a special needs father. My 10 year old daughter Cassie is visually impaired and lives with autism. Although I was deprived of my primary sense of vision; experiencing the support from the community and the energy from the crowds of the various neighborhoods was simply fabulous. This year, I want to share the experience on May 1st with Cassie. We are running the full marathon for Team Cassie, a fund within The Pittsburgh Foundation. Our funds mission is to enrich the lives of the special needs community and their families. Please support Cassie and I as we roll through the 'Burgh.
