BENEFITING: DEBORAH AMOI FOUNDATION
DAF stand for the Deborah Amoi Foundation, named after my mother who was a teacher and paid school fees for kids in Kenya out of her meager income. Unlike the West where public high school education is free, in most African countries, children have to pay to go to public school. DAF exists to help orphans and impoverished kids pay for tuition, uniforms, and stationery as most families make less than $1 a day.
We began with 10 in 2009 and now have 60 students Our goal for 2011 is to have 100 students attending high school in Kenya. Please join us in helping break the cycle of poverty through education.
