BENEFITING: WellPet Humane
Meet Daisy! Daisy has been with her family since she was able to fit in the palm of her mom’s hand. For the past 12 years she has been there for her family, growing up with her three human siblings. Daisy recently developed a grey spot on her left eye, which then proceeded to make her eye begin to bulge. Worried, her family brought Daisy to us for an evaluation. It was then determined that Daisy would need an enucleation surgery to remove her eye. Daisy’s dad recently lost his job, and with her mom supporting Daisy and her siblings, funds are very tight—making Daisy an excellent candidate for our LifeSaver Grant. We are hoping to raise $250 to help Daisy get back to her old self again! From Daisy's mom: "Daisy has been our beloved petchild for 12 years and she is family. She developed a gray spot on her left eye a week or so ago and we thought it was a cataract. Her eye began to bulge and we started to get very worried. My husband recently lost his job of over 15 years so funds are limited and we can't afford the surgery with three kids at home to feed. This has been so hard for us and the kids to watch over the past week and we just want her better and back to her old self. Daisy is a family member, she grew up with our 17 year old son, 4 year old son, and 1 year old daughter. I'm not sure what we would do without the help from such a generous grant. We want daisy to live a long, happy, pain free rest of her life and this surgery is necessary to make this a reality. I don't know what to tell my kids if we can't get this emergency surgery."
