Hello to some of the most be…
Hello to some of the most beautiful people in the world, my 2016 Boston Marathon Hoyt Foundation donors!

Just wanted to take a minute again to thank you so much for helping me make my way back to Boston with my team this year. Your donations propel me into getting stronger every single day. You are a huge motivator for me to keep doing what I'm doing.

I also wanted to let you know that I just got back from the most incredible weekend with my team. Dozens and dozens of us from Team Hoyt took part in the Carlsbad Half (and some dos the full) Marathon in California. It was an unbelievable experience for me to get to run and spend time with many duo teams. I met and ran with so many incredible children who smiled from ear to ear because of the barriers that Dick and Rick Hoyt broke down in endurance sports. So many smiles. So many lives made better by inclusion.

As I ran up those hills of Carlsbad (and woah...they were HILLS), I realized I was stronger because of the inspiration of The Hoyts, the other duo teams, and YOU. Thank you for believing in me and the the power of inclusion. Together we're making lives better, and I cannot thank you enough.

Less than 3 months til my 4th Boston Marathon with the greatest team on Earth!

Thank you.

We did it.

26.2 miles in the cold rain, and it was beautiful. This year I raised over 7000 dollars with your help (for a grand total of over 15000 dollars in 3 Boston Marathons). My team raised over 180,000 dollars and that number is growing every day. All of this money will be distributed to organizations that help people with disabilities live better lives.

I cannot begin to thank you enough for your support. It was a wonderful marathon, but running knowing that so many people are supporting you and your team makes it so much more than that. The crowds yelling "TEAM HOYT" were deafening. The other runners that came up behind me and patted me on the back and said "YEAH TEAM HOYT" were inspiring. The reminders that "YES YOU CAN" were unbelievable.

I have already begun fundraising for next year and am hoping to secure a spot to run with my team yet again. This is the highlight of my year, and you were a huge part of that. Thank you for putting the heart into my running and for making my dream a reality.

There are so many stories I want to tell you all about from race day. For now, I will leave you with just this one...

You all know I am a marathon spectator by trade and live for the signs on the course. Well as I charged up Heartbreak Hill this year I saw a woman standing silently by herself. She was in a crowd of spectators, but it was clear to me that she had come alone. She wasn't screaming. She was just standing, holding a simple sign that said "REMEMBER WHY YOU ARE RUNNING."

Instantly I thought of you all and my team. I thought of how I used to live a whole year of life just for my favorite 30 seconds when Dick and Rick would run by mile 8.4. I thought about fighting to catch up with the team on 4/21/14. I thought about 4/15/13. I thought about how each of my donors and supporters believed in me and wanted to help me achieve this goal.

I'm sure it won't surprise you that I started to cry. We locked eyes, and the woman holding the sign started to cry as well. It was a second of time, but it meant everything. I remembered why I was running...and I'll never forget it.

Thank you for your generosity and love. You are forever a part of why I am running.

A million thanks to you all …
A million thanks to you all for supporting me and The Hoyt Foundation. Every single time I am out battling the road, my feet and legs feel lighter knowing I have so many wonderful people behind me cheering for my team.

2014 was an incredible year for running. In April I finally finished Boston alongside my incredible team. It was quite possibly the most beautiful moment of my life. When I decided to run and fundraise again this year, it was hard to imagine how I could ever try to top that. Well, the outpouring of love and donations for this new journey is making it clear that this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. We're on this journey together because there's no way I could do it alone. At the end of the day, so many people will live better lives because of the money we are all raising and because of the inspiration we will all put out on the road on April 20, 2015.

I will also be sending out some more personal thank yous early this year and would be very thankful if you could message me back your full mailing address.

I love you all so so much.

From everyone at First Descents, thank you for making a gift on behalf of our NYC Marathon runners. Our team this year was so full of spirit and enthusiasm. Yesterday they ran on behalf of young adults impacted by cancer and made First Descents proud to be a charity partner for this event. Thank you for being a part of what helped them across the finish line and thank you for supporting our mission to empower cancer fighters and survivors through outdoor adventure.

Stuff About Me:

My family and I have spent 30 years supporting Rick and Dick Hoyt as they run The Boston Marathon.  We watch every year from the same spot in Natick in front of Henry Wilson's Shoe Shop (and right next to the Honey Dew Donuts where my sister and I always get coffee).  We have signs (some of which are 30 years old).  We are the ultimate marathon spectators.  The Hoyts are the reason we keep coming back.

Rick and Dick Hoyt make me remember that anything is possible, and every Marathon Monday I used to say that I was going to run the marathon myself someday.  Well, guess what?  I did it, and in 2013 my sister had to get coffee without me.  I was beyond honored to run The Boston Marathon with Team Hoyt as my very first marathon.

That morning I wrote 4/15/13 in Sharpie on my sneakers as I prepared to run my first marathon along with my amazing team.   It was the most spectacular day.  I threw mini GO RICK AND DICK signs as confetti at my family at mile 8.  I stomped all over Heartbreak Hill.  I was still going strong when i got stopped right before mile 22.

Boston 2013 will always be my first marathon.  I am very proud to say that I completed my first marathon on 10/5/13 in New Hampshire with my Team Hoyt teammate Meghan Cole, and less than a month later I will complete my second marathon on 11/3/13.  Every single time I get to put on my Team Hoyt shirt and run, I am the happiest me I can be.

Being a part of this team is truly a dream come true.  Less than a year ago, I wasn't even a runner.  Less than a year ago, I was a girl without a team.  Less than a year ago, I didn't believe that I could do all of these things.  Now I know that I can and YES YOU CAN too.

I am counting the days until I am reunited with my team and we get to take back our marathon.  4/21/14 will look amazing in Sharpie on my sneakers.

Please support me and Team Hoyt by donating to The Hoyt Foundation through my page.  This foundation helps so many people live better lives.

In case you don't know about Rick and Dick Hoyt (which means you never went to one of my famous marathon birthday parties growing up, and that's a shame), you can read their story here:

Thank you so much for supporting me and Team Hoyt.  This means more to me than you could ever imagine, and I'm so thankful to have you all be a a part of it.

YES WE CAN!
