Dan and Mel Vanos

Dan and Mel Vanos
Palmerston North, Manawatu New Zealand
Stuff About Me:

Dan and Mel both grew up in religious backgrounds, but worlds apart.  Dan grew up in Phoenix, until the age of 18 when he attended the U of A.  Mel grew up in the pacific island of Tonga until the age of 13 when she moved to New Zealand.

Both Dan and Mel met campus ministers when they attended university.  Dan was at the U of A and Mel was at Massey University in Palmerston North New Zealand.  During Dan’s first year at university he gave his life to Jesus after doing a Bible study while living in the dorms.

After finishing university he then went on full time staff with Faith Christian Church to be a campus minister himself.  He eventually was sent out to NZ to reach the students in NZ.  Shortly after Dan arrived in NZ, Mel also was born again after doing a Bible study with a campus minister.  She became a campus minister in New Zealand after her study.  They both now serve as full time missionaries on the staff of Palmerston North Victory Christian church, reaching the university aged students of New Zealand with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
