Dan and Sue Warner
Organized by: Sherry Clay
I was working one day with an elderly lady that I work with and she got to talking about her husband. She told me their story of how he found out he had cancer. It all started with his whole body itching. He went to the doctor and they did blood work and an ultra sound. They found a mass on his pancreas. He went from November 2013 to march 2014 not knowing what exactly was going on. They sent him to a gastrologist (stomach doctor). They checked his Bio-duck, put a stint in it that's when they found out it was stage 4. They went to Toledo to do a biopsy on his pancreas they were not sure at the time if it was cancerous. Then they sent him to Cleveland clinic and done a biopsy on his lung and it came back positive. They went to Dr Vargus and started chemo March 2013. He took chemo until December 2014. Unfortunately it gave him the diarrhea. The chemo broke his head out with puss spots. Talked about doing chemo again in may 2015 but Dr Vargus said no because it is a slow growing cancer. From May 2015 Into August 2015 it has grown a little bit. She just told me as we worked together a few weeks ago that he told her that he would love to go to Disney Land once more before he dies. She said to me that she wished she could make his dream come true. So after giving it some thought and talking with a few friends we decided we are going to try to make this happen. If you are taking the time to read this story and or donated I want to personally thank you. You don't know how much this will mean to this loving couple. Dan is now 66 and his wife Sue is 61. Dan is a kid at heart, a very kind and sweet man. Sue is a hard worker and a dedicated wife whom i have got the chance to work with very closly and have come to love dearly.
