Youth In Unity at PS 110 students and staff like to express themselves in many ways. One way is through dance. From September until mid January, students and staff create and learn dances from different genres of music. Over the years the students have learned different line dances as well as steps to spanish, indian, and african music. The participants have learned to move to techno, zumba, and pop; they have learned to twist, shake, matrix, shuffle, and bunny hop. The students look forward to the daily dances where they can either learn new moves or teach moves of their own. The daily dances help build confidence, give a great 15 min workout, and get all the students pumped and ready for a day in after-school. All of this leads up to our annual Dance-A-Thon!!
For two hours students eat, dance, sing, and of course have fun!!
The Dance-A-Thon helps raise money for the "Turning Points" Store as well as the Fun Foods program in the after-school. Please help sponsor a child or give a general donation. There will be twenty dances and the minimum pledge per dance is a dollar.
What are you waiting for?? Please donate now!!
