If you've been looking for a way to be charitable AND shake your proverbial groove thang, then your soul searching can end. Join us on Sunday, April 7th 2013 for a dancewalk-a-thon through the streets of Portland Maine to benefit the Animal Refuge Leage of Greater Portland!
The Animal Refuge Leage provides temporary care and shelter for stray, abandoned and relinquished animals, and places as many as possible into responsible and caring homes. The Animal Refuge League also works to create awareness and support for the humane treatment of all animals and to end animal overpopulation through education and the promotion of spaying and neutering. The generosity of donors is a big part of what keeps this organization going, and we want to show our support and appreciation for all that they do.
Starting at the top of Congress Street on the Eastern Promenade, teams will dancewalk down the sidewalk all the way to Longfellow Square. Once we arrives at our destination, the celebration continues at LFK, who have graciously agreed to be our hosts for an after party to continue to the good times and donation gathering.
Dancewalking starts at 1:00PM, so be sure to arrive no later than 12:30 to be sure that you have enough time to check in, find your teammates, and properly stretch your boogie muscles.
