10 Days to go!
November 01, 2017
On November 11, 2017, I will shake my booty for charity and I need your help! There is a Mirror Ball trophy that will go to the dancer with the best dance AND the most money earned in fundraising for the causes!
Dancing With The Stars & Services features military members, police officers, doctors, EMTs and other service professionals from the community paired with professional dancers from Fred Astaire dance studios, performing ballroom style dances, while raising money for The Pink Fund and The Police Unity Tour.
The Pink Fund’s mission is to provide financial support to breast cancer patients in active treatment to help meet basic needs, decrease stress levels and allow patients to focus on healing while improving survivorship outcomes. Their 90-day grant program covers non-medical cost-of-living expenses, such as housing, transportation, utilities, and health insurance premiums. 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will have breast cancer during their lifetime and almost all of us have been affected by this disease in some way.
The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum.
