THE STORY:

I have been with LS Boutique in Green Bay since December of 2015 (Stylist and Social Media Marketing.) It's been a true blessing to work with the team of incredible women within, all of whom take great pride and care of LS clientele/customers. From everyday casualwear, to mother of the bride, or that special prom/homecoming and even pageant gown, our clientele base is just as diverse as our team of amazing stylists. I believe that is exactly why I love what I do. I am a social butterfly who enjoys fashion.  We are not just a boutique. There's a special feeling you get when walking through the doors of LS, and I'm blessed to be a part of it all every day. Some days I feel as though I'm spreading pixie dust!  Honestly though, who can say their job is to assist women in dressing their absolute best and feeling their best? If there was one word to describe my career: rewarding.

I am the mother of two children. Logan is 21 and a Senior at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee where he majors in Communications. My daughter, Paige, is 18 and is a Freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Paige is the founder of WHWH (Warm Hands, Warm Hearts,) and has collected and distributed more than 40,000 pieces of cold weather gear to those in need since 2008. Logan is a budding entrepreneur, runs track and field on a partial scholarship and interns at the Children's Hospital. Needless to say, I am a very proud parent!

As for myself, outside of working at LS Boutique, I officially launched CA Image & Consulting. I cater to young women who have chosen to embark upon the world of pageantry.  I assist clients with their Interview Preparation, Platform Development, Pageant Paperwork/Bio/Application, Onstage Presentation, Wardrobe Selection and Analysis, Talent and much, much more! There's no greater feeling than seeing my clients grow in confidence through "the process," while becoming empowered young women who are not only incredible role models, but bright, talented and self-assured. Again, rewarding!

When I do have spare time, I enjoy reading and taking long walks. I have a passion for designing clothing and gowns and reflect everyday by writing in my journal. Mine has been quite the journey. In the future, I foresee writing my memoir! I'm quite certain it would be a best seller! Dancing has always been my outlet, and as a past dance team coach, I spent countless hours perfecting my own skills. However, that was years ago!!! Nonetheless, I'm excited to embark on this journey. It is one I know will be life changing.

I've always considered myself a creative, with a great imagination! Growing up on a farm in Kewaunee County, oftentimes we had to make up our own fun and keep ourselves entertained. As a child, I loved dancing in the back yard, twirling around and learning new tricks. Music made me feel a sense of freedom and I would interpret all sorts of styles (as silly as it sounds, it's something I find myself still doing today!) There's magic and medicine in movement!!!

My dream dance partner is Maksim Chmerkovskiy. I feel he brings to the stage raw passion and an emotion that exemplifies a true love for his craft. I appreciate he is not afraid to take risks in his choreography...the mark of a uniqueness. A beautiful dancer who at times is seen as arrogant, yet I feel perhaps simply demonstrates conviction.

My favorite dancer of all time on ABC's “Dancing with the Stars” is Donald Driver. My son, Logan, was a competitive dancer and three-sport athlete since 3rd grade. He had the unique opportunity to meld athletics and the arts together, by doing both. Back then, there were many labels and stereotypes placed on "male dancers." So much so, at times it caused issues, and he came close to walking away from dance. When Donald Driver hit the floor to dance on DWTS, he showed everyone that a well-respected, highly-decorated professional athlete can also dance. And, dance well. And, it was accepted. After Donald brought home the mirror ball trophy, my son’s local dance studio had the actual trophy "in house" for an afternoon. The kids all had photos taken and you could just see the pride and smiles upon their faces. For my son, Donald's "win" was also a "win" for all young men who danced.

On November 15th, 2014, my daughter was on her way to dance class when she was involved in a traumatic automobile accident. No parent ever wants to hear their child was involved in an accident, yet my family's worst nightmare came true that morning. She was flown to Aurora Trauma Center, upon which we were told that she had coded before they could take X-rays and a CT scan. We were told to prepare ourselves. Internally, she was bleeding heavily and needed to undergo an emergency exploratory surgery. In total, Paige had seven surgeries. She crushed the left side of her pelvis, while fracturing the back portion. Her humerus and pelvis as well as leg now have plates and pins in them. She developed a blood clot and her spleen was removed. Yet, by the grace of God, gifted surgeons and nurses, prayers of support from across the country, and 33 blood products/transfusions that were administered in seven days, she somehow survived. Paige is my miracle. Less than seven months later, she was back on the dance floor, dancing competitively! If she can do it, so can I!  I cannot think of a better way to say "thank you," than to devote my time and energy into helping raise funds for the American Red Cross. Simply put, because of generous blood donors, my Paige survived.
