Greetings Friends Of NWHS,, …
Greetings Friends Of NWHS,,

The NWHS sanctuary, Top Of The Rock Wildlife Sanctuary, received 2 rescue tigers from a closed sanctuary in San Antonio TX on Tuesday Sept 13. We are not going to start a separate project for this rescue, but would like to inform the CR Team Members for "Friends Of NWHS" CR project, in the event that you would like to assist.

We have, of course, some costs involved in setting up to receive and house the tigers, and will be caring for them for the rest of their natural lives here at our sanctuary. Please consider helping raise some money for the expenses, and to help provide for them.

I realize that when this message comes through your CR Page message, it will run everything into a single paragraph, LOL.. and links may not be "clickable", but you can copy paste this link into your browser, or click it on the NWHS CR project page: http://www.wildlife1.com/forum/topics/two-tigers-arrive-at-our-sanctuary
The link goes to the NWHS community forum, and has info and photos (taken within hours of the tigers arriving here), viewable by nonmembers. Thank you so much, if you are able to help us raise some funds!

"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." ~Anne Bradstreet

As we enter continue through the hurricane season here on the east coast of the United States, we have been given a small taste of adversity. I work in a hotel, filled to capacity for several days in a row, following Irene, by people who were without clean water and/or electricity, those with damaged homes, or by those service people coming into the area to help clean up the mess, and restore us to our 'normal way of life'. My involvement here on Crowdrise, however, makes me aware that all of this past week is little more than a reminder of what a large part of Earth's inhabitants go through on a daily basis. Victims such as those of the earthquakes in Haiti and Japan, the tsunami, mass flooding, and the tornadoes that ripped though the Continental US's mid-west will require months, if not years, of recover. And the vast majority have no hotel where they can spend that recovery period.

"A boy doesn't have to go to war to be a hero; he can say he doesn't like pie when he sees there isn't enough to go around." ~Ed Howe

Don't underestimate even the most modest of involvement here on this site...A September vote for you and your heroic efforts...

Stuff About Me:

Since I was a little girl always liked nature, in general.

Cared to the animals that find on the streets, often taking them to my home with me. They are the biggest reason to my struggle, until this day. Hurts my heart see them in the streets, injured, with hungry and shivering cold. If I could, if conditions had, it would take everyone to my house, like I just did before, but even so, I help them like I can.

I also believed in the magic power of plants, in the warm emanated by the smiles of children and, until this day, I believe that the grace of our world is due to the existence of these wonderful beings. I love them.
