WHY

The fitness challenge will celebrate Maddie Potts’ legacy of kindness, sportsmanship and dedication to the sports of Soccer, Track and Lacrosse. Maddie was 17 and in her senior year at Chariho High School when she collapsed on the soccer field and later died at Hasbro Children’s Hospital from an unknown brain aneurysm. Maddie was a loving sister, daughter, granddaughter, artist, and friend, as well as a Soccer and two year Lacrosse Captain. Since Maddie was born on the 11th and carried this number with her throughout her sports career, The Foundation’s mission is to celebrate Maddie’s character through the 11 attributes that represent her work ethic and general approach to life. When life gets tough think about these 11 characteristics and ask yourself What Would Maddie Do?
