Danielle is in recovery from having cancer for the 2nd time. She is a fighter and survivor. She hasn't been able to work much since her last surgery because of the pain she still endures. We are just having a really bad month with all the medical bills and I don't know where else to turn. I would like to tell you a little more about Danielle's story. My partner Danielle was diagnosed w breast cancer 8 years ago. She had a lumpectomy on her right side. She fought through chemo and radiation. We were not together at that time. (Hadn't met yet). She then had a minor heart attack also in 2011. Then in April of this year, she thought she was having another heart attack. I rushed her to the ER in which they rushed her by ambulance to a larger hospital because her blood pressure was plummeting. After 24hrs, she was to follow up w a cardiologist. They did find a nodule on her lung but wasn't concerned about it being cancer. They were more concerned about her blood pressure and heart. She was released to family Dr.s care. A few days later she followed up w her family Dr. Whom also didn't believe the nodule was cancer & set her up w a Cardiologist in another larger town. Danielle had her heart attack in 2011 at the same hospital this Cardiologist works. By the grace of God, the radiologist who took her chest X-Rays years ago just happened to remember her name. He pulled her old charts and gave them to the cardiologist. They were able to see the old scans with the recent X-Ray & noticed the nodule had grown. She was then referred to a lung Dr/Surgeon. In 2 weeks time, my partner went from thinking she was going to be having stints put in her heart to going in for major surgery days after her cancer diagnosis. She had 1/3 of her right lung removed. She fights pain every day still as they said recovery from that can take over a year. She tried going back to her old job just to be yelled at and belittled for not being able to do her job because she couldn't lift a lot of the stuff. Then she ended up with pneumonia that ended her job. So even though my bank account is empty, we are still truly blessed. I know this is long but it's actually short as I couldn't explain everything but hope you understand. God Bless you if you did read to here. Thanks for reading Danielle's story. By Misty Westbrook
