Daniel's climb for a cure
Organized by: Barbara Russell
My son Daniel, age 16 was diagnosed with Epilepsy this year, 2014. Suddenly our lives changed from this moment, the questions of why?, how come?, etc. Answers where needed, so medical testing was started. Hours, & Day's of testing, and waiting for results, to then being diagnosed with Epilepsy. Thank you to the Columbia Child Neurology Specialists, Neurological Institute of New York, and The New York Presbyterian, Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, for the excellent Doctor's & staff who helped Daniel, and myself get through the day's & night's we stayed at the hospital. So that is why I, Barbara, Daniel's mom is organizing a foundation in honor of Daniel to help raise money for the research development of Epilepsy, and for expenses that our family has encountered due to costly medical bills. Testing and treatment for Epilepsy is an expensive toll, even when families have medical insurance. Help support the challenges Daniel faces everyday living with Epilepsy, as well as his family & friends too. A need for more resources and support help to stop seizures, find a cure, and overcome the challenges created by Epilepsy. A little help can go a long way!
