BENEFITING: DANIELS MUSIC FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 15, 2014
On Saturday, November 15th I will be running in the New York Road Runners NYC 60K race to raise money for Daniel's Music Foundation. Yes, that's 37.2 miles for an organization that is very near and dear to my heart.
Daniel's Music Foundation (DMF) is a non-profit organization that provides free musical instruction to individuals with disabilities in the NYC area, creating a community that opens doors to acceptance, respect, confidence and overall well being. Their mission is to provide a comfortable, educational and social environment in which members can enjoy, learn, and practice the joy of music together.
I started volunteering at DMF 3 years ago. Even though I'm not exactly a musician, I was immediately welcomed into the DMF family. With each experience at DMF, I continue to be inspired by the dedicated students, supportive instructors, and hardworking volunteers. I am truly thankful to be a part of such an amazing organization.
Please help me reach my goal of raising $500 for Daniel's Music Foundation. No donation is too small (or too big!).
Thank you for helping me give back to an organization that has given so much to the community and to me.
